The BCAC is comprised by close to 30 member associations, each representing a distinct sector of producers or growers within BC’s agricultural industry. It's the support of these organizations that enable the BCAC to act on behalf of BC farmers and ranchers, advocating for their best interests on government issues and enhancing the effectiveness of our various programs and initiatives.
F.A.R.M. (Food and Agriculture Responsibility Members’) Community Council
The Food and Agriculture Responsibility Members’ (FARM) Community Council was formed in 1996 at the request of the B.C. Minister of Agriculture to be a unified voice representing a collective of farmers’ institutes in British Columbia. The FARM Community Council is among the seven founding members of the British Columbia Agriculture Council. Since its inception, FARM’s membership has grown to include other farmers’ organizations such as the BC Purebred Sheep Breeders’ Association and the BC Farm Women’s Network. The FARM Community Council serves its members by remaining abreast of key industry and legislative issues.
